RSVP on Facebook On January 22, Aliro Voices will present their winter concert: Old Wine in New Bottles. The performance will feature folk music from all over the world in modern arrangements, including pieces from Finland, Estonia, India, Germany, Ireland, Appalachia, and the African American tradition. The program will include arrangements by singers Michael Betz, Kurt Hattenberger, and Ian A. Cook. This will be the premiere of my arrangement of traditional German drinking song/bass solo showpiece Im Tiefen Keller. I will be singing the solo bass part.

I'm looking forward to participating in the 28-hour continuous drone for the second time. All proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders. Although the schedule is still being finalized, I will most likely be playing one of the "quiet hours" slots: in the neighborhood of 5am.
